If you like Money Heist, Breaking Bad, or Prison Break, then you are going to definitely love this series. The story begins with a 17-year-old brilliant student “Light” in japan getting a book of Shinigami (God of Death), a book called “Death Note”. As the name kinda also give it away, the person whose name will be written in a death note will die in 40 seconds of heart attack, if you don’t choose the death time yourself.
Light literally can play “GOD”, but even so he wants to become one but only just by killing or as he says eliminating evil from this earth and serve “JUSTICE”, soon he gets the name “Kira” (a killer). But an Investigator “L” whose identity is not disclosed in the world also begins his journey to find and save the earth from Kira. This is a great story of a cat and mouse fight. I would recommend for the new beginners to start their journey from here. Brace yourself to have your morals questioned.

It is one of the few anime that don’t have the original manga. In 2016, it was made as an anime at the beginning and aired with 12 episodes. Yuri on Ice is also one of the few examples of LGBT+ love stories in anime. I am not going to share that you have to find out for yourself.
But I will talk about another aspect.
This is a sports-themed anime that focuses on figure skating. So the special characteristic of this anime is that not only it has attracted anime fans but also people who like figure skating competitions. It also attracted praise from professional figure skaters, with some skaters in the 2018 Winter Olympics performing to music from the show.
The story follows the main character Yuri Katsuki who is a 23 years old figure skater and his rival Yuri Plisetsky who is a 15 years old promising Russian skater. They both aim to win the Figure Skating Grand Prix.

Erased is one of the most underrated anime of the 21st century. The 12 episode series is a dark and intense story that follows a 27-year-old man called Satoru Fujinuma, who possesses the ability to ‘rewind’ to avoid a tragedy. However, after a murder in his presence brings back forgotten memories of his childhood, Satoru rewinds to his childhood past.

14. Parasyte
Based on a classic manga series from the 90s, Parasyte tells the story of a young man named Shinichi who wakes up to find that his right hand has been eaten and replaced with an alien parasite.
The alien, eventually called Migi, is part of an invading force that has been taking over various humans. Migi, however, was unable to take over Shinichi’s brain and eventually forms a close bond with his host.
15. Samurai Champloo
The anime focuses on three characters—the wayward Mugen, the ronin Jin, and the clumsy but charming Fuu. When fate brings them together, they set out on an epic journey to find a samurai who smells like sunflowers. It is a good piece of art directed by Shinichiro Watanabe.
It consists of only 1 season and 12 episodes at the time of writing. This show has a flavor of all genres. Instead, it uses a mix of historical references, shounen tropes, and hip-hop aesthetics to create a multicultural experience for viewers.
