Marvel’s Steps Towards Diversity : Fawad Khan To Join MCU

Marvel is set towards diversity in their projects by introducing Muslim Characters. Actor Fawad Khan is set to join the cast.

Marvel films have presented a cultural phenomenon through their various well-liked characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow. Marvel has taken a big leap towards Diversity by introducing a TV Series called ‘Ms. Marvel’

Ms. Marvel is a Disney+ series introducing an American-Pakistani character called Kamala Khan who gets immune to superpowers and is called Ms. Marvel, the character’s idol is Captain Marvel.

The show will feature its first titular Muslim characters, which Actor Fawad Khan has bagged. 

Haroon Rashid, a BBC entertainment journalist tweeted the information. Fawad Khan is also featured on the show’s cast list. Marvel is yet to make an announcement.

However, Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha, and Samina Ahmed are also alleged to join the cast. A source stated that Farhan Akhtar is currently stated in Bangkok working on a Marvel project with international casts and crew. The details are still under wraps. 

An official announcement is still awaited from the Indian and Pakistani actors, but sources have confirmed the additional shooting of the series will take place in Thailand.

Actor Fawad Khan has starred in Bollywood movies such as Kapoor and Sons, Khoobsurat alongside Sonam Kapoor, Ae Dil he Mushkil. He is also known for his acting in the TV show Zindagi Gulzar Hai.

Nimra Bucha caught the Indian audience’s attention with her performance in Zee5’s Churails. Farhan Akhtar has acted in well-known movies including Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Dil Dhadakne Do, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
