With the corona virus outbreak, the filmmakers have shifted on releasing their bollywood movies on OTT platforms rather than theatrical release. This would gather more audience and help the films perform better at the box office. Some of the movies that were scheduled to release last year are all set to hit the screen in the coming months. Some sequels, some remakes and some new stories; Bollywood is all set to make the year exciting for the movie fans.

1. Shershaah
The Captain Vikram Batra biopic starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role would be released on 2 July. The movie is based on the story of Captain Vikram Batra who was martyred 22 years ago in the Kargil war. The film also stars Kiara Advani as the opposite lead under Dharma Productions.
2. K.G.F- Chapter 2
The second part of the Indian-Kannada period action film starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon is all set to release on 16 July. The film revolves around how Rocky continues the quest of his supremacy over the Kolar Gold Fields with his foes eyeing his downfall.
3. Gangubai Kathiawadi
It is a biographical crime drama film directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Alia Bhatt along with Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa. The film is based on how a simple girl from Kathiawad rose to become a mafia queen. The film is scheduled to release on 30 July.
4. Atrangi Re
Atrangi Re is a rom-com directed by Anand.L.Rai under the banner of Cape of Good Films. The film stars Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar with music by the academy award winner A.R. Rahman. This is second time when Dhanush and Anand.L.Rai has come together post Raanjhana. The film is set to hit the screens on 6 August.
5. Jayeshbhai Jordaar
It is a social comedy film produced under the banner of Yashraj Films starring Ranveer Singh and tamil actress Shalini Pandey as the leads while Boman Irani and Ratna Patal Shah in the supporting cast. The film features the life of a Gujarati man who believes in equal rights between men and women. Film is scheduled to release on 27 August.
6. Bhoot Police
Bhoot Police is a horror comedy starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Directed by Pavan Kirplani and produced under the banner of Tips industries the movie is set to skip its theatrical release and available only on OTT platforms. The film is scheduled to release on 10 September.
7. Anek
Anek is an upcoming action thriller movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana and directed by Anubhav Sinha in association with T-Series. The movie is the first project together between the actor-director pair post Article 15. The shoot was completed in March 2021. The film is set to hit the cinema halls on 17 September.
8. RRR
It is the first project of director S.S. Rajamouli after the success of Baahubali. The film stars N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The movie’s timeline is set in the 1920s and is a period drama about two freedom fighters who fought against the British Raj and the Nizams. The film is scheduled to release on 13 October 2021.
9. Prithviraj
Prithviraj is a historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is set to introduce former Miss World, Manushi Chillar to Bollywood opposite Akshay Kumar. The movie is based on the life of Chahamana ruler Prithviraj Chauhan. It is set to release on 5 November 2021.
10. Laal Singh Chadhha
After the disastrous show of Thugs of Hindostan, a lot of people have high expectations from Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadhha. It is a comedy drama film adapted from the 1994 american film Forrest Gump.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya and is set to hit the screens on Christmas 2021.
