Apple has recently introduced its new iPhone line up— iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. And the Apple enthusiasts just can’t keep calm to buy them, as for India out of all four releases only two will be available — the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
Whenever Apple introduces any new iPhone, they are always in the limelight not because of the phone but also because of the price. Soon after the release of the new launch, the company has discontinued the supply of the Apple iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Phone Pro Max. It has reduced the prices of it’s existing iPhones including the iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and iPhone SE.
The Apple iPhone 12 prices in India are comparatively higher than the previous iPhone 11 series.
Apple has disclosed the price of all four 12 iPhone models. The Apple iPhone 12 for the base variant is for Rs 69,900, the iPhone 12 Pro for the base variant is for Rs 1,19,900. Looking at the unreasonable prices, particularly of the Pro models in India, netizens have instead considered a trip to Dubai to get the iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The iPhone 12 Pro price in India begins at Rs 1,19,900 for the 128 GB base model. The similar model with 256 GB and 512 GB storage configuration is priced at Rs 1,29,900 and Rs 1,49,900.
Compare to that the iPhone 11 Pro launch price, which was initially available for Rs 99,900, the iPhone 12 Pro sees an increase of Rs 20,000 in the price. The Prices of the iPhones are much higher in India compared to other parts of the world, which is mainly due to the import duties and taxes.
So why are people considering a trip to Dubai to buy the iPhone?
The Apple iPhone 12 Pro price in Dubai, starts at Dh 4,199, which is roughly Rs 84,000. A round trip flight ticket fare to Dubai would cost around Rs 18,000. Add the cost of iPhone 12 Pro, which is Rs 84,000, and other expenses roughly Rs 15,000, making it a total of 1,17,000.
So, you can easily buy the return tickets of Dubai, get your visa and buy the iPhone from the UAE rather than buying it from India. Have a look at the ticket which cost less than Rs 20,000.

It’s no secret that tax duties in India on imported phones are the highest, where the users have to pay an average of Rs 24,000 more for an iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Despite the high price tagging, the iPhone enthusiasts are ready to seal the deal at whatever price.
