Peaky Blinders Season 6 finally Coming As Fans Rejoice

Fans of Birmingham's bad boys, rejoice: 'Peaky Blinders Season 6 and final one is rapidly approaching, and we're getting a better sense of what the big finale might entail'.

The show’s official Twitter account released a quick Peaky Blinders teaser in late November as the fans are getting excitingly impatient  for the season 6 release date.

After filming wrapped in June 2021, the show’s official Twitter account claimed that season 6 would be “epic.” When fan-favorite characters return and a slew of high-profile actors appear at the conclusion, there will be a “boom.” “We are back and even better,” said Peaky creator Steven Knight recently. While the Peaky Blinder teaser, which shows the show’s protagonist, Tommy Shelby, strolling down a shadowy street with a bag in hand, isn’t much to go on, it’s nonetheless great news for fans who have been waiting for word on when the new, final episodes will air.

Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date

All of this suggests that the show will most likely premiere later this year. It’s been a long wait for new episodes as Series 5 comes to an end in the second half of 2019.

Due to social distance requirements imposed in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, filming of the new episodes has been postponed. The additional episodes had already been written and were in pre-production prior to the coronavirus epidemic. Following rumours that numerous UK broadcasters, including the BBC, would not comply to the two-meter separation regulation, production of Peaky Blinders Season 6 began earlier than scheduled.

Given the complexities of the scenario, RadioTimes.com predicts that Peaky Blinders Season 6 will premiere by the end of 2021 at the earliest.

There Will Be Some Casting Changes

In March, actress Charlie Murphy announced that she will not be reprising her role as real-life union leader and Communist campaigner Jessie Eden for the upcoming season. Tommy protected her from being jailed in the season 5 finale, immediately before his unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Oswald Mosley. Some fans speculated that she was the one who betrayed Tommy in season 5, leading his intentions for Mosley to fail, but with Murphy’s departure, it seems increasingly doubtful.

On the other side, some new cast members have been announced, including James Frecheville, Rebecca Keatley, and Black Mirror’s Amber Anderson, who has indicated that she would feature in the show’s last season in an as-yet-undisclosed capacity.

Plot

After witnessing the season five finales, we have a lot of questions. What will happen to Tommy Shelby next is one of the most pressing questions. Has he managed to pull Oswald Mosley down from the inside? Are there any consequences? What will Tommy’s strategy be for dealing with the fascist leader?

Is Finn willing to take the fall for disclosing Mosley’s assassination plot? Will Billy Grade (Emmett J Scanlan) make it?

Is Arthur planning anything now that Linda has passed away? Is Polly finished with Shelby Company Ltd, and how will she handle Aberama Gold’s death?
