India is diverse not only in terms of culture but also in terms of natural resources. Believe it or not, numerous spots in India will make you feel like you’re on vacation somewhere else. Not everyone has the opportunity to see all of the world’s wonders.

1. Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim and Jökulsárlón Lake, Iceland
The beautiful Gurudongmar Lake, located in the north of the state, is one of the 15 tallest lakes in the world and the second highest in India, with a height of 17,100 feet (5212 metres).
It is similar to Iceland’s Jökulsárlón Lake in that it is not only beautiful but also considered to have healing capabilities. The water from the lake is frequently carried by tourists. From November to June is the best time to come.
2. Rann of Kutch, Gujarat – Uyuni Salt Flats of Bolivia
The Rann of Kutch, located in Gujarat, is India’s most unusual region. It is a huge flat salt desert. It looks similar to Bolivia’s Uyuni salt flats, which are said to be the world’s largest mirror.
The winter months of October to February are ideal for visiting the Rann of Kutch. During the Rann Utsav or Festival in the White Rann, you can also pitch a tent on the edge of these salt flats
3. Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Phi Phi Islands, Thailand
Tourists visit the islands throughout the year due to the tropical atmosphere. The capital city, Port Blair, also serves as an entrance to the beautiful islands, which are home to 270 kinds of birds and are covered in lush vegetation and fauna.
This Indian counterpart of Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands (pictured) is recognised for its gorgeous surroundings and water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling, among others.
4. Thar desert, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan – Sahara desert, Africa
The Great Indian Thar Desert, located in Rajasthan’s western region, will provide you with an unforgettable experience. There aren’t as many pyramids in India’s deserts as there are in the Sahara, but there are plenty of other things to do.
You can go on a camel safari and camp in the heart of the Sand Dunes for the night. Around the dunes, you can view the India-Pakistan border as well as our old military stations. Winter is the greatest time to visit for perfect weather, from October to February.
5. Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir and Switzerland
The lovely town of Gulmarg is 32 miles (52 kilometers) from Srinagar. The Gulmarg Gondola, Asia’s highest and longest cable car installation, is a prominent tourist attraction here.
While Srinagar is as beautiful as any international destination, Gulmarg’s splendour is a cut above with its snow-capped peaks that rival those of Switzerland (pictured). It’s a haven for anyone seeking respite from the summer heat as well as a thrilling adventure.
The greatest time to visit is between December and March when there is plenty of snow. Otherwise, April, May, and June are the best months to visit.
6. Bhedaghat, Jabalpur or Gandikota – Grand Canyon, USA
In India, there are two to three spectacular river gorges that are nearly equivalent to the Grand Canyon in the United States. The Bhedaghat Gorge, located in the state of Madhya Pradesh near Jabalpur, is India’s most beautiful gorge.
At Bhedaghat, the Narmada river has formed a lovely route among the shimmering mountains of marble rocks. The river continues on to form stunning waterfalls known as Dhaundar waterfalls. Nidan Ghat, a lesser-known river gorge near Jabalpur, is also worth visiting.
Another Grand Canyon, the Gandikota gorge, may be found in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the south. If you are visiting Andhra Pradesh, you must witness the magnificence of the rocks sculpted by the equally amazing river.
7. Chitrakote Falls, Chhattisgarh – Niagara Falls, Canada
The Chitrakote Falls in Chhattisgarh are the most magnificent during the monsoon season, which runs from June to September.
These waterfalls on the river Indravati grow in size as the river floods during heavy rains. The end effect looks exactly like the Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada.
