7 Shows We Absolutely Loved And Recommended To Everyone

Some hidden gems are severely underrated. This post is dedicated to shows that we loved to watch and would recommend to everyone due to their non-generic plot, crafted characters and developed structure.

Rotten Tomatoes

The ever-increasing content on the OTT platform makes it confusing to decide what to watch. Most of the time we go for sitcom classics- HIMYM, Friends, or maybe The Office, or other genre-specific ones like Breaking Bad, Money Heist, Moon Knight, and Euphoria.

All of these series are wonderful in their way. Nothing beats re-watching Sherlock Holmes or Stranger Things on a Saturday night, however, several other hidden gems deserve more hype than it gets.

We have carefully curated a list of 7 shows available on different platforms that are worth watching and which we will recommend to everyone for the sheer masterpiece they are-

1. Maniac

Platform- Netflix

This is one of the shows which are best judged when you have concluded. If you think the ending is not enough to satisfy your thrill, Maniac may not be the right choice for you.

It follows a pharmaceutical trial having 12 people along with a few doctors whose characterization in the series is commendable.

A Maniac is a great option for short binge-watching sessions as it is a miniseries having only ten episodes.

2. The White Lotus

Platform- Disney+ Hotstar

The White Lotus may initially appear to be a simple story of a fictional resort chain where the employee’s and guests’ relaxing vacation becomes affected due to dysfunctions.

Nevertheless, to truly enjoy this series, you need to concentrate and engage with the plot. It’s not something you can lightly watch over a Saturday night to chill. The remarkable craft of its plot and characters makes it amazing.

3. American Vandal

Platform- Netflix

It is hard to imagine that a mockumentary may be better developed than a documentary.

Mashable

Made as a parody of crime documentaries, American Vandal is not the kind of satire that doesn’t get its logic right or ends up being inconsequential.

It will hook you to the events, making you want to know about the events and perpetrators.

4. Breeders

Platform- Disney+ Hotstar

Breeders aren’t the first experiment to portray the difficulties of parenthood recognizing that it is a tough and demanding job with room for mistakes.

Metro

But not every film or series focused on it has Martin Freeman. Although, Breeders is not sufficient when it comes to its predictability and somewhat falls short for that part, the performance of the actors enhances the show making it worthwhile.

5. Severance

Platform- Apple TV+

Yes, we know a lot of pages have been recommending this series. However, the bunch of shows releasing parallel made it suffer greatly.

Variety

Severance is a psychological thriller showing the experiment in the corporate world where people’s personal and work memory is separated.

The title “severance” was cleverly chosen, showing the division of its memories and the aftermath.

6. Pachinko

Platform- Apple TV+

If you are a true cinema lover, Pachinko will be a good match for you as it blends personal and political history.

VOI

This show follows the story of a Korean immigrant family across four generations as they venture through hardships and obstacles to survive. The show portrays dreams and aspirations.

7. L’ Amica Geniale (My Brilliant Friend)

Platform- Voot

Based on the novel series of the same name, My Brilliant Friend the first part focuses on the complication of female friendships.

The Daily Beast
