9 Pair Of Fantastic Films That Contradict Each Other

Many films attempt to convey a moral lesson to the audience; some succeed, while others fundamentally contradict their own narratives or the other films. Let's check some of such films.

The plot of many stories revolves around a moral message. These messages mirror how one should act in life: The Boy Who Cried Wolf, for example, is a fable containing a moral message that lying is unacceptable. Movies, regardless of genre, do the same thing.

Documentaries can be made with the message of justice for a specific individual, while romance films might carry the message of not changing for another person.

However, not all of these lessons are effectively communicated through their stories. Some of these films even contradict themselves in terms of character conduct, lack of viewpoint outside of their own, and even plot.

We’ve compiled a list of films that are opposed to one another. They were so dissimilar that you probably won’t be able to watch them back to back-

1. Trapped and 127 Hours

Trapped is a survival drama about trying to stay alive in a restricted space, and 127 Hours is another survival drama about trying to stay alive in a large open canyon.

It’s a battle of surviving inside vs. outside, and both stories sent shivers down our spines.

2. Murder On The Orient Express and Knives Out

Both mysteries are well-written and will keep you engrossed in the tangled web of lies and deception.

Both detectives are clever in their deductions, but one family had to rise above morality and choose a course of action to obtain justice, whereas the other family did the exact reverse.

One investigator was sure in his ability to hand up the culprit, while another didn’t have one.

3. The Terminal and Life of Pi

The narrative of being stranded in a strange land and having to deal with numerous ups and downs.

Both stories are situated in a remote country from home, and both have a great desire to return home, but they contradict each other in that one finds their way back successfully.

Because only one of them returns, while the other does not.

4. Hachi and A Dog’s Way Home

Hachi had a lovely beginning and a lovely middle, but his ending tore our hearts apart. He waited and waited for the person who was supposed to welcome him into their home.

Bella got off to a terrific start, but the middle was bumpy and full of obstacles, but the finish, oh the finale, filled our hearts with joyous tears.

5. Thappad and Kabir Singh

Probably the most notable and well-known contradiction. In a world where Amrita didn’t hesitate to speak her mind, where she stood firm for what she believed in and refused to be oppressed, there was Preeti, who had no opinion.

To be honest, there isn’t much more to say because the influence of favorable opinions vs. negative silence is obvious.

6. One Day and Love, Rosie

Both stories portray best friends falling in love, with both of them experiencing regrets, missed opportunities, and unsuccessful relationships with other people before figuring out who they love.

One Day, on the other hand, concludes on a sorrowful note of tragedy and memories, whereas Love, Rosie makes the couple discover they’re happily ever after.

7. La La Land and Walk The Line

Both musicals are well-known and have stories that are still spoken about. But, as we all know, music does not always offer us the happily ever after we expect.

All we can say is that Mila and Sebastian weren’t as fortunate as Johnny and June, with one spot where music brought them together and the other where music has become a distant memory.

8. Tamasha and Inside Llewyn Davis

Both are dissatisfied with their lives and are considering ways to improve them, as well as routes that will bring them to their long-buried ambitions.

While one is ready to break free, break down all boundaries, and fight against all odds to realize their ambition, the other is lost in a deep rabbit hole of doubts about whether life is truly important.

They highlight how some actions can affect the trajectory of life for the better or the worse by contradicting each other.

9. Knowing and Interstellar

Both had a goal to fulfill, both had families to care for, and both were fathers capable of shattering our hearts while doing everything they could.
