Top 10 most watched YouTube web services of 2020

With the past year spent rummaging around content online, YouTube did not stay behind. When OTTs were releasing great content spanning across all genre, YouTube also upped its game. These YouTube web series were short, concise and refreshing, making them all the more appropriate to binge watch.

They explored stories ranging across all age groups. And also touched upon all economic classes making YouTube a very wholesome place. It doesn’t matter what age group or background you belong to, there is definitely one web series that you will find extremely relatable.

The Greenroom did a survey recently, and came up with a list of top ten most watched YouTube web series of 2020. Here they are:

1. Operation MBBS

Touching upon the hectic lives of medicos, this Dice Media web series is very authentic. From its dialogues to its shoot locations, nothing feels out of order. The nerdy always wanting to be on the top Huma (Sarah Hashmi), the hardworking Sakshi (Anshul Chauhan) and the notorious and hardly working Nishant (Ayush Mehra) are a perfect trio.

2. Please Find Attached Season 2

Struggling to cope up with their lives while working towards their dreams, Shaurya (Ayush Mehra) and Sanya(Barkha Singh) are office colleagues who decide to be flatmates in order to cut on the expense of finding a house. While they try to be each other’s family in the new city, they eventually fall in love. This is also by Dice Media.

3. The Interns

The Girliyapa mini series revolving around the lives of three young interns of Digital Diva who bring along their own set of drama. This ride of them going through internship and trying to cope up with life, is a fun one to watch. Starring Revathi Pillai (Viveka), Rashmi Agdekar (Ana) and Ahsan Channa (Lily) is a refreshing take on the life of young girls.

4. Wrong Number Season 2

While the season one ended on a cliff hanger, the second season took off right from the cliff. It sought all possible misunderstandings and set the lives of Khushi (Apoorva Arora) and Karan (Amrish Verma) straight. This slice of life kind of story is about the millennial couple Roneet (Naveen Kasturia) and Avani (Harshita Gaur) who try to plan their dream wedding overcoming all the shortcomings. The Zoom Studios series is a culmination of a modern couple and a traditional wedding.

6. The Aam Aadmi Family Vacation Special

The struggles of a middle class family who even dream on a budget has been captured beautifully in this series by The Timeliners. Starring Brijendra Kala and Lubna Salim as the parents of two, it is a wholesome family. As the name suggests, it is a very common man story with a every day struggle kind of vibe, but it is fun to watch content which is relatable and realistic.

7. Not Dating

This drama-romance web series explores the lives of individuals who working in a 9 to 5 office trying to balance all aspects of life. Starring Abhishek Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the leading roles, this Hasley India series has come out recently and has been loved immensely by the audience.

8. Butterflies

This mini series by Terribly Tiny Tales is probably the cutest story which is sure to leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling of Butterflies in your stomach. This Alright web series is definitely not just alright. Set in the recent times, it is a story of four friends who try to keep up their work-life balance while staying indoors during the lockdown. It stars Anushka Sharma and Ritvik Sahore in the lead roles.
