Former Cricketer Shahid Afridi tests positive for COVID-19

Ever since the outbreak of this disease, Afridi and his foundation "Shahid Afridi Foundation" was continuously helping the poor and the needy in Pakistan. He was delivering relief material to different areas of Pakistan with his team. Earlier, Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh also backed former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s foundation in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has been infected with the Coronavirus. Afridi has shared information about being COVID-19 positive through social media himself.
Giving information about his health on the tweet, he wrote, “I was not feeling well since Thursday, my body was hurting very badly. I got my test done and unfortunately, my report has come positive. I need your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Afridi has also been in possession for a long time in the record of scoring the fastest century in just 37 balls in ODIs. Till 2014, he was the owner of this record.

Afridi had made controversial remarks against Kashmir and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past, after which former Indian players Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh severed ties with him. 

In a widely circulated video, Afridi was heard saying “the world is infected by a deadly disease, but what’s more dangerous is in Modi’s heart and mind.” What they are doing with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and elders, they have to answer it.
