Jeetu Bhaiya is the physics teacher and mentor played by Jitendra Kumar in TVF’s Kota Factory. His “funday”, or lessons, are about handling pressure, failure and goals: aims matter more than dreams, habits can be changed, hard work has no guarantee, and you should keep improving rather than just “be yourself”.
Kota Factory follows students preparing for the IIT entrance exam in Kota, Rajasthan, the coaching capital of India. Jeetu Bhaiya is the teacher every student wishes they had. Here are his 12 best lessons, which apply well beyond JEE preparation.

Jeetu Bhaiya’s 12 lessons from Kota Factory
1. Moving on is part of growing up
Jeetu Bhaiya tells his students that growing up includes good and bad experiences. You cannot hold on to every failure or every old friendship. Learning to move on is a sign that you are growing.
2. Habits can be changed
Good or bad, a habit is not your fate. With steady effort, a student who wastes time can learn to study, and a student who panics can learn to stay calm. The change is slow, but it is possible.
3. Do not build your whole life around one goal
When IIT becomes your whole identity, missing it feels like the end of the world. Jeetu Bhaiya reminds students that society makes defeat feel bigger than it is, and that there is life after one exam.
4. Protect your confidence
Exam pressure can make even good students doubt themselves. One bad test does not erase what you know. He keeps telling students to trust their preparation and not let a single result define them.

5. Hard work does not guarantee success
This is one of his most honest lessons. Coaching centres sell guarantees, but nothing in life is certain. You work hard because it improves your chances, not because it promises a result.
6. Being the topper in class is not enough
Being first in your batch does not mean you are the best in the country. Jeetu Bhaiya pushes students to compare themselves with the toughest competition and keep challenging themselves.
7. Nothing comes free
Whatever you want, you have to work for it. There are no shortcuts to a good rank, and no free lunch in Kota or anywhere else.
8. Dreams versus aims
A dream is something you wish for. An aim is something you work towards with a plan. Jeetu Bhaiya’s point is simple: dreams fade, but aims get achieved.
9. Keep improving yourself
Instead of the usual “just be yourself” advice, he tells students to become a better version of themselves every day. Accepting yourself is fine, but staying the same is not.
10. DAB: Daring and Befikar
Be bold and carefree. Worrying about a bad outcome makes you suffer twice, once before it happens and once if it does. This is one of the most quoted lessons from the show.
11. A lesson for parents
Kota Factory also speaks to parents. A child who is serious and stressed is not always a sign of good discipline. Pressure from home can do as much damage as a bad teacher.
12. If they can do it, why can’t you?
Other people’s success can look easy from outside. Jeetu Bhaiya reminds students that everyone is fighting their own battles, and that comparing your behind-the-scenes with someone else’s results is unfair to yourself.
What happened in Kota Factory season 3
Season 3 arrived on Netflix on 20 June 2024. It took a darker, more emotional turn, as Vaibhav, Meena, Uday, Vartika, Shivangi and Meenal faced the final stretch before their exams. Tillotama Shome joined the cast. As of October 2026, TVF and Netflix had not officially announced a fourth season.
Jitendra Kumar is also known as Abhishek Tripathi, the “Sachiv ji” of Prime Video’s Panchayat. Read more about his shows in our web series section and other stars in celebs.
Why Jeetu Bhaiya connects with students
Kota Factory shows the coaching culture honestly: hostel rooms, mess food, test ranks and loneliness. Jeetu Bhaiya is not a superhero teacher. He gets tired, makes mistakes and admits them, which is why students believe his advice.
How to use these lessons during exam preparation
- Set aims, not wishes: break your target rank into weekly chapter goals and mock test scores.
- Fix one habit at a time: start with sleep or phone time before changing your whole routine.
- Track your own progress: compare this month’s test with last month’s, not with the topper’s.
- Keep a plan B: having other good colleges or courses in mind makes the pressure easier to carry.
- Talk to someone: a teacher, sibling or friend can help when stress builds up. Jeetu Bhaiya’s students lean on each other, and that is part of why they survive Kota.
None of this is a guarantee, as Jeetu Bhaiya himself would say. But it makes the long months of preparation more manageable, and it keeps one exam from deciding how you feel about yourself.
