3. Dhurandhar (2025)
The first part released on 5 December 2025 and became the year’s biggest Hindi film. Together, the two Dhurandhar films have grossed more than ₹3,200 crore worldwide, according to the same Wikipedia compilation.

How these box office numbers are counted
Worldwide gross is the total ticket money collected in India and overseas, before taxes and before the cinema’s share is taken out. Producers and trade trackers in India often quote a separate net figure for the domestic market, which is lower because GST is removed.
That is why one film can show different totals on different websites. Dhurandhar: The Revenge, for example, is described as the first Hindi film to cross ₹1,000 crore net in India, while its worldwide gross is about ₹1,852 crore.
Which films could break into the list next
Two big releases later this year are being watched closely by trade analysts. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 arrives in Indian cinemas on 8 November 2026, and Shah Rukh Khan’s King is scheduled for 24 December 2026. Box office results for both will only be known after release.
