Several Bollywood celebrities run their own brands alongside their film careers. The best-known names include Hrithik Roshan (HRX), Salman Khan (Being Human), Katrina Kaif (Kay Beauty), Alia Bhatt (Ed-a-Mamma), Deepika Padukone (82°E), Kriti Sanon (Hyphen) and Ranbir Kapoor (ARKS), covering fitness, fashion, beauty, skincare and kidswear.
Many stars sign endorsement deals, but these seven have put their names on businesses of their own. Here is when each brand started, what it sells and the key business updates reported so far.
1. Hrithik Roshan: HRX (2013)
Hrithik Roshan launched HRX in 2013 through Exceed Entertainment. The brand is built around fitness, with apparel, accessories and fitness equipment that tie in with his own image as one of Bollywood’s fittest actors.

In September 2016, FashionUnited reported that Myntra, owned by Flipkart, was set to buy a majority stake in HRX. The brand is widely sold online, and it opened its first standalone store at Phoenix Market City in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru.
2. Salman Khan: Being Human (2007)
Being Human started as a charitable foundation, set up by Salman Khan in Mumbai in 2007. The clothing line came later, in 2009, and debuted at HDIL Couture Week.
The model is different from most celebrity labels. The foundation earns a licensing fee from sales of Being Human clothing, which funds its charitable work. Since 2011, Mandhana Retail Ventures has handled design, manufacturing and retail of the merchandise under a long-term deal.
3. Katrina Kaif: Kay Beauty (2019)
Katrina Kaif launched Kay Beauty in October 2019 in partnership with Nykaa. At the launch, Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar called it India’s first celebrity beauty brand, according to FashionNetwork.
The range is split into three lines: Kolor for eyes, lips and nails, Kover for face products, and Kare for skincare-led products. It started with a 48-piece eye and lip collection, sold on Nykaa’s website and in its stores.
4. Alia Bhatt: Ed-a-Mamma (2020)
Alia Bhatt founded Ed-a-Mamma in 2020 as a clothing brand for children aged 2 to 12. The label focuses on sustainability, with ethically sourced materials, and it later added maternity wear.
In 2023, Reliance Retail Ventures entered a joint venture with the brand and took a 51 per cent majority stake, as reported by DT Next. Alia said Reliance would add strength in supply chain, retail and marketing.

5. Deepika Padukone: 82°E (2022)
Deepika Padukone co-founded 82°E, which launched in November 2022 with a range of skincare products. The name is read as “Eighty-Two East”, a reference to the line of longitude that sets Indian Standard Time.
The brand calls itself a self-care label and sells mainly through its own website. Deepika has said the products were rigorously sourced and clinically tested.
6. Kriti Sanon: Hyphen (2023)
Kriti Sanon announced her skincare brand Hyphen on 27 July 2023, her 33rd birthday. She shared the first brand film on Instagram, according to BW Retail World.
Hyphen positions itself around products that combine natural and scientific ingredients and offer more than one benefit each. Kriti is a co-founder, and the brand has since added new face care products to its range.
7. Ranbir Kapoor: ARKS (2025)
Ranbir Kapoor launched ARKS in February 2025, describing it as a brand a decade in the making, with its first studio at Waterfield Road in Bandra, Mumbai. The brand sells everyday clothing for men and women, including T-shirts, shirts, hoodies, jackets and trousers, along with leather sneakers, socks and caps.
According to Harper’s Bazaar India, prices at launch ranged from Rs 1,499 to Rs 34,999. It is sold at the Bandra studio and online. In June 2025, ARKS also launched its first fragrance.

What these brands have in common
Most of these labels work with an established partner. Kay Beauty launched with Nykaa, HRX brought in Myntra, Ed-a-Mamma joined hands with Reliance, and Being Human works with Mandhana. The star brings visibility, while the partner handles manufacturing, stock and distribution.
Beauty and skincare are the most crowded categories, with three of the seven brands in that space. Clothing comes next, from activewear to kidswear to everyday basics.
