The most exciting water parks in Dubai are Aquaventure at Atlantis The Palm, Wild Wadi near Burj Al Arab, Laguna Waterpark at La Mer and Legoland Water Park, with Splash N Party for small kids. Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi is worth a day trip for thrill seekers.
Dubai’s heat makes water parks one of the city’s most popular day outs for families, friends and solo travellers. Some parks are built for adrenaline, with near-vertical drops and racing slides. Others are calmer, with lazy rivers and splash zones for children.
A quick note before you plan: timings, ticket prices and seasonal closures change often, so check the park’s official website a day before your visit.

6 most exciting water parks in Dubai
1. Aquaventure Waterpark, Atlantis The Palm
Aquaventure is the best known water park in the UAE. It sits on the outer crescent of Palm Jumeirah as part of the Atlantis The Palm resort, which spreads over 42 acres. After its expansion, the park was reported to hold the Guinness World Record for the most waterslides in a water park, with 50 slides.
It is known for adrenaline rides, the most famous being the Leap of Faith. Children under 1.2 metres get their own zone, Splashers, with smaller versions of the popular slides.
2. Wild Wadi Waterpark
Wild Wadi opened on 12 February 1998, which makes it one of Dubai’s oldest water parks. It is Arabian-themed and sits in Jumeirah right next to Burj Al Arab, close to Mall of the Emirates. Its official site lists it as open every day from 10 am to 6 pm.
The big draw is Jumeirah Sceirah, a 33-metre free-fall slide where riders hit speeds of up to 80 km/h. Breaker’s Bay is a wave pool with 1.5-metre waves, and Juha’s Journey is a 360-metre lazy river. Burj Surj, Tantrum Alley and Master Blasters round off the ride list.
The park once had one of the largest water slides outside North America, but that slide has since been removed to make room for newer rides. Wild Wadi has also appeared on The Amazing Race.

3. Laguna Waterpark, La Mer
Laguna sits inside the La Mer beachfront district in Jumeirah 1. It is smaller than Aquaventure or Wild Wadi, but it is good value and much calmer.
The park is split into four zones: Splash, Slide, Surf and Relax. There is a lazy river and cabanas, and the mood is closer to a beach day than a thrill park. Pick it if you want a slow afternoon by the water rather than big drops.
4. Yas Waterworld, Abu Dhabi
Strictly speaking, Yas Waterworld is not in Dubai. It is on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and many Dubai visitors make the drive for it. It opened in 2013 and has about 45 rides, slides and attractions.
Jebel Drop and Hamlool’s Humps are the tallest rides, while Liwa Loop is the fastest. Bandit Bomber is described as the first roller coaster built into a water park. The park also holds a Guinness World Record for the most nationalities in a swimming pool, set in April 2019.
5. Legoland Water Park Dubai
The Legoland Water Park is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the same complex as Legoland Dubai, which opened in October 2016 for families with children aged 12 and under. The water park is quieter than the big three and built for young kids.
Start at Joker Soaker, but be ready for chilly water. Then try the Build-A-Raft Lazy River, the gentle wave pool and the smaller slides. It is best value when you combine it with Legoland Dubai or another park in the same complex.
6. Splash N Party
Splash N Party is made for children aged two to 10, though adults have fun too. The water is only waist deep, and the rides are sized for small visitors, so parents can relax a little.
It is a popular spot for birthday parties and can host large groups. Book ahead if you are planning an event.
Tips for visiting water parks in Dubai
- Go early on weekdays. Queues for top slides get long by midday, especially on weekends.
- UAE residents often get cheaper day passes, so carry your Emirates ID if you have one.
- Carry sunscreen and water shoes. Paths and slide stairs get very hot.
- Check height limits for kids before you go. Many thrill rides have strict minimum heights.
