Amazon Prime has released a new web series Bandish Bandits. Directed by Anand Tiwari and Anritpal Singh Bindra. The series has 10 episodes and is based on music. The movie is shot in Jodhpur and Mumbai.
The episodes start with sangeet Samrat (Naseeruddin shah) holding music class. He is one of those formidable teachers of Hindustani classical who command, and receive, absolute discipline.
Radhe (Ritwik Bhowmik) is the musical inheritor and prospect shining star of the Rathod Gharana of Jaipur, whose patriarch is Pandit Radhemohan Rathod. Radhe is his grandson and is devoted to both the music and his grandfather.
Mumbai based Tamanna (Shreya Chaudhary) who is a pop singer and a YouTube sensation. For some inspiration and motivation, Tamanna lands up in Jodhpur where her father encourages her to plan a concert and give an astonishing performance.
Tamanna and Radhe meet each other and she recognises Radhe’s talent and offers him fame, money and love. Radhe secretly says yes to the collaboration, Radhe becomes a national sensation as the singer “Masked Man” along with Tamanna and the duo is called Bandish Bandits.
He faces several ups and downs in his life and his relationships with Tamanna and his family members. Tamanna is ambitious and career-oriented. While Radhe is a family-oriented person who has to carry his principles and legacy forward. They come from two opposite worlds and often strive to find common ground when working together.
We will see the clash between the old and new form of music. But how long can a secret remain one? How long can Radhe keep his big truth away from his family?
