All the rumours that we shut today about the director’s death unfortunately became true just now, as the confirmed death news arrived. Nishikant Kamat is reported to have breathed his last sometime an hour ago. He was undergoing medical treatment in Hyderabad since 31st July. The medical reports claim that he was critically suffering from liver cirrhosis.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh confirmed the news of death via twitter and gave his condolences. “I will miss you my friend. #NishikantKamat. Rest in Piece”, wrote he with heavy heart.

Riteish and Nishikant have earlier delivered a Marathi blockbuster ‘Lai Bhaari’ together, and were good friends.
