1. MrBeast (about 517 million)
Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, is an American YouTuber famous for huge challenges, expensive stunts and giveaways. One of his best known videos recreated Netflix’s Squid Game, with 456 players competing for a 456,000 dollar prize.
He passed T-Series on 2 June 2024 to become the most subscribed channel on YouTube, and his lead has only grown since.
2. T-Series (about 315 million)
The Indian music label and film production house was set up in 1983 and is known for Bollywood soundtracks and Indian pop music. T-Series first reached No. 1 on 27 March 2019, lost the spot to PewDiePie for a few days, then took it back on 14 April 2019.
It held the top spot for 1,876 days until MrBeast passed it. It is still the most subscribed channel in India.
3. Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes (about 202 million)
Cocomelon makes 3D animated versions of nursery rhymes and kids’ songs. It used names like ABCkidTV before rebranding. It is one of the biggest children’s channels in the world and a fixture in homes with toddlers.
4. SET India (about 190 million)
Sony Entertainment Television’s YouTube channel posts clips and episodes of its Hindi dramas and reality shows. It is the second Indian channel on the list and the biggest TV network channel in the top 10.
5. Vlad and Niki (about 150 million)
Brothers Vlad and Niki make toy, role-play and adventure videos for kids. The channel is dubbed into many languages, which helps explain its global reach.
6. Stokes Twins (about 146 million)
The Stokes Twins channel was not in the top 10 when this article was first published in 2022. It sits in YouTube’s People category and posts English-language entertainment videos.
7. Kids Diana Show (about 138 million)
This Ukrainian children’s channel stars Diana and her brother Roma, who also runs his own channel, Kids Roma Show. Videos are dubbed into several languages, including Hindi.
8. KIMPRO (about 135 million)
South Korea’s KIMPRO (written 김프로KIMPRO on YouTube) is the only Korean-language channel in the top 10. It is another new entry since 2022.
9. Like Nastya (about 133 million)

How the race for No. 1 played out
For most of the 2010s, PewDiePie was the face of YouTube. Then T-Series, powered by a huge Indian audience, closed the gap. T-Series finally passed him on 27 March 2019, he took the spot back for a few days, and T-Series moved ahead for good on 14 April 2019.
T-Series then stayed at No. 1 for 1,876 days. The next challenger was not another music label but a single creator. MrBeast’s big-budget videos pulled in subscribers at a pace no one else matched, and he passed T-Series on 2 June 2024.
