Tyler Perry is the richest actor in the world on Forbes’ 2025 list of celebrity billionaires, at about $1.4 billion. He made his name playing the outspoken grandmother Madea in films he also wrote and directed.
The bigger wealth comes from ownership. Perry owns his content library and Tyler Perry Studios, a huge production lot in Atlanta. Few actors own the films and shows they make, and that is what sets him apart.
2. Jerry Seinfeld
Forbes puts Seinfeld at about $1.1 billion. He co-created the sitcom Seinfeld with Larry David and still earns a share of its profits through syndication and streaming deals.
He also tours as a stand-up comedian and has signed Netflix deals for specials and his show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
3. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Forbes counted Schwarzenegger among celebrity billionaires in 2025, at about $1.1 billion. Forbes estimates he earned around $500 million from about 50 films, including The Terminator series.
The rest comes from early property investments, commercial real estate, private equity and venture capital. He also served two terms as Governor of California.
4. Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan is India’s richest actor. The Hurun India Rich List 2026 puts his wealth at Rs 10,000 crore, down from Rs 12,490 crore in 2025, when Hurun first counted him among India’s billionaires.
Beyond films, his money comes from Red Chillies Entertainment and his stake in the Knight Riders cricket teams, including Kolkata Knight Riders. His next film, King, is set for release on 24 December 2026.
5. Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan is second among Indian actors on the Hurun 2026 list at Rs 4,000 crore, up from Rs 1,630 crore a year earlier. Hurun links his wealth to investments through his family office and his property holdings.
At 83, he still works in films, ads and as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
6. Salman Khan
Salman Khan entered the Hurun list for the first time in 2026, at Rs 3,000 crore. Along with films, he runs Salman Khan Films and the Being Human clothing brand, and has hosted Bigg Boss for years.
7. Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan is listed by Hurun at Rs 2,500 crore in 2026, up from Rs 2,160 crore in 2025. A big part of his business wealth is his fitness and lifestyle brand HRX.
8. George Clooney
Forbes does not list Clooney as a billionaire, but his biggest payday is well known. In 2017 he and his partners sold their tequila brand Casamigos to Diageo in a deal worth up to $1 billion. He has two Oscars, one for acting in Syriana and one as a producer of Argo.
9. Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is one of the best paid stars of the last 40 years, with large back-end deals on the Mission: Impossible films and Top Gun: Maverick. He also produces his own films. No researched net worth figure has been published by Forbes or Hurun, so we do not quote one.
10. Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler’s Netflix deals have made him one of Hollywood’s top earners. Forbes named him the highest-paid actor of 2023. His films, including the Grown Ups and Hotel Transylvania series, have been hits for decades.
