What the 2025 list tells us

Three trends stand out. First, a single film, Dhurandhar, earned more than the next two films on the list combined. Second, two of the top five, Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha, had no established star power and grew through word of mouth.

Third, sequels and franchises still filled half the list: War 2, Raid 2, Housefull 5 and Thamma all came from existing film worlds. For more on these films and the stars behind them, see our Bollywood section and our listicles.
