2. Money Heist just enabled 2020 to go nicely

3. Salvador Dalí became a tribute for his famous mask-delivered money heist.

The masks of the robbery are of the famous Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali, who inspired the world and spoke volumes through their art, which might just make the top of the list. His paintings became a milestone, stopping at nothing to incite shock within his audience.

It is incredible how the team of La Casa De Papel gave a tremendous tribute to this artist to showcase resistance. What an outstanding stroke of genius, who was known for taking risks and thriving off the attention that it drew, which is similar to what the Money Heist gang does.

4. Netflix stands prominently and is viewed more with the rising seasons of Money Heist

After Netflix gave the platform to Money Heist in countries like France, Italy, Chile, Portugal, Brazil, and Argentina, the show became Netflix’s most-watched show in 2019.  Netflix stands prominently with a rating of 8.5 on IMDb. However, with the increasing season, it shows its destiny.

5. Scripts for Money Heist aren’t written in advance rather, they are written alongside filming

It’s hard to believe that the writers of this great show go parallel to the ongoing after every while and write a couple more episodes, so, in essence, they write as and when needed.

The logic behind this rests with the fact that they want to see the reactions of the audience, their perception, and take and then write in accordance. which is another thing to keep exciting. Well, for that one needs to be the mastermind, isn’t it! Actors often get the script just before the shoot.

6. Bella Ciao was a song of protest long before Money Heist.

Bella Ciao was already made and popular in the early 19th century.  This Italian protest folk song was originally sung to protest the hardships faced by Montana men working in the paddy fields in Northern Italy.

Well, there is another angle to that story, that  Money Heist”, used to represent the gang’s fight for freedom, was originally an anthem adopted by Italian anti-fascists during World War II.

7. They Couldn’t Shoot In The Actual Mint

The team wanted to make it look real with the idea to have a big scene filmed at The Royal Mint of Spain, which is managed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Business. Yet they were not permitted to do that.

Unfortunately, despite all efforts, they were not able to obtain permission to shoot there, and the production had to be creative in coming up with a similar location. However, they were successful in making all the fake currency look real.

8. Interesting story behind how character names were decided

When the show’s creator has to begin the show. Alex Pina walked into the room, donning a T-shirt that read Tokyo, the Jesus Colmenar thought it would make the perfect name for the lead character.

However, after the next 15 minutes, they decided on the names of all the characters after different cities.

9. Money Heist was not the first name of the web series

The creator, Alex Pina, had chosen the title Los Desahuciados, which translates to “The Outcasts.” However, it did not work.

Overdue, it was decided that the show would be titled “La Casa de Papel” since the opening scene, where the cast is robbing the Royal Mint, is essentially nothing more than a “paper house.” Which did not work out. There’s no telling if the original title may have prevented some unpopular opinions about Money Heist’s final and controversial translation, which was decided for the English-speaking audience.

It was changed by Netflix and welcomed to the platform in the international category. With logic, the title “Money Heist” includes the logic that the characters were involved in a heist at The Royal Mint, where they stole money. Many people still believe that Money Heist and La Casa De Papel are two separate series when they are the same show.

10. Arturo Was Holding An Actual flamethrower

Fans won’t soon forget the tense standoff between Arturo and the robbers, as the deceitful motivational speaker finds himself in an advantageous spot in a weapons depot.

The entire scene took several weeks to film, as the complex angles and number of weapons present on the set meant everyone had to be at their best at all times.

Enrique Arce, the actor who plays Arturo, actually has to use a real flamethrower during the scene where he walks towards the thieves in the narrow hallway. It’s an impressive feat to pull off, considering how the enclosed space likely made it that much harder to withstand the heat from the flames while having to carry the heavy weapon.

11. The show used more than 600 red jumpsuits

Through all five seasons, over 600 of the iconic red jumpsuits were used to dress the cast. The  costume designer, Carloz Diez, dressed in the series, and the characters were far from boring.”Designing the wardrobe of La Casa de Papel [Money Heist] is such an experience well because each character is so different from the next.

It has been a great challenge to dress all the characters individually and then again as a group, with that iconic red jumpsuit.” The other reason was that some scenes required 8-10 versions of the same outfit for characters. That’s because the jumpsuit would start clean, but then need dirt, dust, and blood added, depending on what was happening.

12. Filming has taken place in 300 locations in 7 countries

Reportedly, the series is set in Madrid and shot in 300 places all over the world. Netflix’s later involvement brought more opportunities for the show; taking the shooting to a variety of locations outside of Spain, the entire first series was filmed.

Shooting for the series has taken place in Thailand, Denmark, Panama, Portugal, Italy, and the United Kingdom, where the scenes involving the flooded vault at the Bank of Spain were filmed.

13. Tokyo wasn’t meant to be the show’s narrator

According to a Spanish news site, El Mundo  Tokyo (played by Úrsula Corberó) wasn’t planned to be the series narrator. Since its first series, fans have wondered why the narration comes from Tokyo, suggesting that it should come from The Professor (Álvaro Morte), the heist who is the male-dominated group leader.

Well, in reality, that’s what show producers originally intended, but eventually decided that it would be too narcissistic for the professorto get  into it, and also wanted a female voice doing the narration given the fact they had such a male-dominated cast.

14. Álvaro Morte had to audition five times for The Professor

It was tough to decide on the role of a mastermind. It was rather hard to imagine anyone else playing the role of heist mastermind.

The Spanish actor auditioned five times over two months to get the part. And we’re so glad he did. The Professor, according to TechZimo Álvaro Morte, wasn’t a total shoot.

15. They Had To Look For An Actor With A “Trashy Laugh

Denver is especially known for his trashy laugh. His fans will always remember how his laugh perfectly sums up his personality in Money Heist.

His intentional, unique laughter sums up his personality, as the team behind the show wanted to cast someone whose attitude would match their envisioned version of the character. Well, to that challenge, the actor Denver should be to do a “trashy laugh” and Jaime Lorente was thankfully more than glad.

The show is as amazing as the facts related to its creator’s idea. Nonetheless, to create and write the script of such a mastermind show side by side, one needs to be the mastermind, and these facts speak about Jesus Colmenar’s mastermind.
